Margaret Andrews
Margaret Andrews is the founder of Higher Ed Associates and brings over twenty years of professional experience in higher education, business, consulting, and teaching to the firm. She has taught and consulted across the globe and is adept at bringing ideas, people and processes together to improve results.
Through a variety of positions – including Associate Dean at Harvard University's Division of Continuing Education, Executive Director of the MBA Program (including Admissions, Student Affairs, and Career Development), Alumni Relations and Marketing at the MIT Sloan School of Management, and Vice Provost at the Hult International Business School – she has deep experience in higher education and managing for innovation.
Margaret teaches a variety of courses and executive programs through Harvard University and for other universities and corporate clients, and she has taught throughout the United States, Europe, South America, and Asia. Her courses and programs include Creativity and Innovation, Managing Yourself and Leading Others, Making Teams Work, Strategic Business Insights, and Leadership and Decision Making. Margaret is also co-author of the StratEDgy blog on Inside Higher Ed and reports on the worldwide management education market for University World News.
Prior to her career in higher education, she held positions as Vice President of Marketing at Putnam Investments, Consultant at Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman), and as a CPA at Deloitte and Touche.
Margaret hails from California and has an undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley. She is also a graduate of the MIT Sloan MBA Program where she was named a Seley Scholar – the school's highest honor.
