Dayna Catropa

Dayna Catropa's career has focused on the intersection of business and higher education, specifically helping organizations make decisions that are both economically and educationally sound.

Dayna has held several positions in consulting, research and marketing in both higher education and the private sector.  Over eight years, she has served Harvard University in several ways, including:

  • The Office of the President (Strategy and Programs Group): In this role, she focused on the President’s international agenda and analyzing dissemination of funds to faculty and students.
     
  • Harvard University’s Division of Continuing Education: In this capacity, she helped build an executive education portfolio from the ground up, supported management program administration, developed award-winning marketing plans, and helped drive strategic decisions for Harvard Extension School and Harvard Summer School courses and programs.

Dayna's consulting engagements include efforts to assess growth opportunities, explore business model options, research new products and programs, deliver deep market insights, develop competitive positioning strategies, create marketing plans, and produce educational content.

As an educator, Dayna has co-created and co-taught several graduate-level and executive education courses online and on-campus for Harvard Extension School and Harvard Summer School, including Digital Marketing, Strategy and Competition in Higher Education, Managing Yourself and Others, and Strategic Management. She also works with Harvard Business School Press as a moderator to deliver online modules for global executives.

Dayna earned a bachelor of science in applied economics and management, magna cum laude, from Cornell University and a master's degree in education with a focus on psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
